Mission and Values

At Box Solutions, our goal is to help you take control of your asian supply chain.

After over two decades of experience in supply-chain management in Asia, we came to realize that most supply-chain operations are held together piecemeal. Each time a company confronts a road block, short- or medium-term solutions are patched together to pave over the problem. Once those solutions wear thin, a new patch is then put on top of the existing, although no longer effective, one. While these solutions can temporarily work around a problem, they are not sufficient responses to market needs. Trade and distribution components have to stay seamless, not bumping over a collection of patches that merely keeps a business afloat.

Box Solutions was created to help small and mid-sized companies find short- medium- and long-term solutions for a more productive supply chain. We maintain a western business approach while respecting the Asian business culture. Moving a step further than mere consultants, each situation is assessed to prescribe a number of services which are then put into operation and followed by our team.

Who do we work with?

Box Solutions specializes in supply-chain solutions for companies with annual sales ranging from US$2 million up to US$100 million. We have developed an updated business model for trade and distribution formerly only available to large multinationals since all companies, no matter the size, face obstacles when dealing with offshore product sourcing and operations. We take every company’s unique challenges into account to find solutions for a more efficient supply chain in Asia.

How do we do it?

As every company has specific needs, no two solutions are alike. To start with, we examine every detail of how a business functions, working with established strengths and coming up with a plan to transform the supply chain into an efficient and profitable machine. Some of our recommendations may seem pretty drastic, but we have the experience and the tools to make the changes work. In the end, your company is in the driver seat thanks to an efficient supply-chain operation.

Principles

Box Solutions promotes a Supplier Chain Model to help our customers do business in Asia. We provide tools and services to improve our clients’ supplier chain using the following seven principles.

Principle 1 - Don’t move anything if you don’t have to.
Keep inventory in the production region and sell the product from there. You will avoid inventory duplication and reduce global inventory levels. Moving inventory costs time and money. You need to make sure that you know where your goods need to go before you move them.
Principle 2 - Isolate quality problems in the production country.
Perform the quality assurance and qualification steps locally to keep defective products in the production country.
Principle 3 - Report what is actually done and not what is supposed to be done.
We provide our clients with the information of what is really done and not what is supposed to be done. This is real-time information, so decisions can be made to satisfy our clients’ customers.
Principle 4 - Report problems to clients immediately instead of solving them for the client.
Supplying real-time information about problems and events that could impact supply chain efficiency provides the client with a means of addressing problems before they become serious.
